of Gettysburg.

George Masters, a family friend, is a young man caught up in the war
fever of the time. Joining the army seems exciting, offering him a
chance to travel, experience a new way of life and escape his
alcoholic, neglectful father. He finds that war is not fun and glorious,
but offers hardship, destruction and death.

drowning, then nurses her through a resulting fever. He must keep his
identity a secret from the feisty and beautiful Rebel soldier even as he
finds himself falling in love with her.

Katie falls in love with the caring gentleman stranger, only to later
discover that he's the enemy. Heartbroken, she turns him in to the
Confederates, but then questions her goals and beliefs. Is it possible
for her to put aside her quest for revenge to save the man she loves?
